Moncton, NB – Mrs. Linda Andrea O’Neill (nee Kyle), passed away on Friday, August 10th, at the age of 70, after a 9-year battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
Linda was born in Montreal and was raised by her Grandparents, Andrew & Elizabeth Kyle. In 1990, she married her soul-mate, Bill. Linda was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She was an amazing cook, had a great sense of humour, loved life and being in nature. She was described by all as kind, honest, and fair and someone who would do anything for you. She spent the majority of her career working for the City of Moncton and loved spending her free time with her husband, grandkids, reading books, enjoyed a glass of red wine, and gardening. She also loved to travel, and loved her 4 cats and her dog.
Linda is survived by her husband, William O’Neill, son Greg Crandelmire (Rachel), sister Wilma Henley (Ken), Glen McMartin (Dennis), stepson Gordon O’Neill (Jeanne), stepdaughters Anna Thomey (Bill) and Jamie O’Neill (Emily), and grandchildren Tyler, Ben, Jacques, Cherish, Jordyn and Nate. She is predeceased by her mother Lee McMartin and her step-father Gordon McMartin, son Kyle Crandelmire, brothers Gordon and Andy McMartin and sisters Joyce Knox and Elizabeth McMartin.
Linda did not wish to have a funeral service but please join us in celebrating her life this Saturday, August 18th, at 225 Evergreen Drive, Moncton, from 2- 4 pm.
Please remember her as she was, as her mind was taken from us before her soul.
You’ll be my breath should I grow old.
You are my lover, you’re my best friend.
You’re in my soul.”
The family is grateful for the condolences and would appreciate that donations be made to the Drew-Tantramar Foundation in Sackville, NB or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
