Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Isidore Cormier and the late Doris LeBlanc.
Lionel will be sadly missed by his special friend, Irma of Lakeville; by his three daughters, Sandra Lovely of Lakeville, Cathy Richard (Jack) of Lakeville and Gail Daigle (Mike) of Steeves Mountain; by his two sons, Andrew of Moncton and Timothy (Marilyn) of Toronto, ON; by his two sisters, Florence Carter and Jacqueline Henwood (Eric) all of Riverview; by his fourteen grandchildren; Shane, Christian, Victoria, Bryan, Adam, Christ, Amanda, Rebecca, Austin, TJ, Bradly, Nicolas, TJ and Abigail; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Anthony "Tony", by an infant granddaughter, Melissa, by two sisters Helen Eager and Jeanine Gautreau, by a brother Jean-Paul.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (corner West Lane), Moncton, on Thursday, July 6th, 2017 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Friday, July 7th, 2017 from 10:00am till the time of funeral. Funeral service will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (corner West Lane), Moncton, on Friday, July 7th, 2017 at 11:00am. Burial at Birch Hill Cemetery, Berry Mills.
Donations to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital (Oncology department) would be appreciated by the family.
