Lionel Romeo Maillet
1953 ~ 2023

Moncton, N.-B – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lionel Romeo Maillet, that occurred on July 4th, 2023, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital at the age of 70. 

Born in Moncton on June 22nd, 1953, he was the son of the late Aldé Maillet and the late Lorraine (Cormier) Maillet.  

He will be sadly missed by his loving spouse, Christina Joy Lewis; his son, Mathieu (Nadine Label); his daughter, Monique (Jason) Thibodeau; his three grandchildren: Damien, Owen and Elizabeth; his two brothers: Rheal (Agnes) and Daniel (Diane); his four sisters: Denise (Ricky), Simonne (Francis), Angela (Jean-Marc) and Lisa (Gilles); his aunt, Dorice Boyle; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.


Visitation will be held from Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, E1A 1G1, 506-857-1901) on Monday, July 10th from 1 to 3 pm only. There will be no funeral service. Interment will be held in the St-Anselme parish cemetery.

In memory of Lionel, a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

  5. I went to St Henri school and at Vanier High with him and his brother Rheal. Sympathies to you, Rheal and all your family and friends. I remember his nick name, Smiley. Rest easy my friend, where you are now there is no more suffering. Lost a cousin this week to cancer. Fly high with all the angels, hugs to you all.
