Shediac, NB – Lloyd Fougère, 83, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, June 10, 2018.
Born in Shediac Bridge, NB, he was the son of the late Edgar and Corinne (nee LeBlanc) Fougère.
Lloyd was a police officer for 35 years and retired in 1993. He was also a security guard for 10 years.
Lloyd will be sadly missed by his friend, Alice LeBlanc of Shediac; his children, Keith of Bathurst, Kevin (Lise) of South Tetagouche, Lloyd JR. of Alberta and Rachelle Roy (Roger) of Bathurst; his grandchildren, Katlyn Marie, Maxime and Alec; his two sisters, Corinne Boudreau (Francis) of Moncton, Dolorice Mungillo (late Tommy) of West Newton, MA; his two brothers, Edmond Albert (Florence) and Armand (Bernice) of Leominster, MA; his former wife, Rose-Marie Pitre of Bathurst; also by several nephews and nieces.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Dolorèse and his brother Richard.
As per Lloyd’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue, Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Knights of Columbus (Cocagne) or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
