Cocagne, NB – Lorrainda Hébert of Cocagne, NB, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5 th , 2023, at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, at the age of 97.
Born in Cocagne, NB, she was the daughter of the late Vital Breau and Exelda (Bourque) Breau. Prior to her retirement, Lorrainda worked as a custodian at École Blanche-Bourgeois et Mgr. Léonard Léger in Cocagne. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and painting, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She will be sadly missed by her 10 children: Jean-Paul (Claudette) of Shediac-River, Murielle (Paul) Maillet of Waltham, MA, Bernard of St-Thomas-de-Kent, Anne-Marie (Léonce) Hébert of Shippagan, Guy (Pauline Vautour) of Notre-Dame, Valmon (Roberta) of Cocagne, Francine (Laurie) Gallant of Cocagne, Pauline (Adélard) Comeau of Moncton, Suzanne (Paul-Emile) Cormier, and Robert (Lise Lemay) both of Cocagne; her 17 grandchildren: Rachel, Denise, Stéphane, Michelle, Christian, Lise, Renée, Tina, Yves, Ghislain, Rémi, André, Isabelle, Mélanie, Mario, Eric and Jean-Marc; several great grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Phyllis Hébert of Cocagne; her sister-in-law, Yvonne Breau of Shediac and by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Edmond Hébert (1975), her daughter Gisèle (1976), her son Bertin (2017), her grandson Guy (1998), by her two brothers Aurèle and Antoine Breau, and her daughters-in-law Jackie, Diana and Lucille.
Visitation will be held from Passage Funeral Cooperative, 3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge, NB, 506-532-1050, on Saturday, January 14 th , 2023, from 9 to 11 am. Funeral service will follow at 11 am at the Passage Funeral Chapel.
In Lorrainda’s memory, donation can be made to the Canadian Kidney Foundation, the Diabetes Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Saddened to hear of the passing of your mother. We have fond memories of our few visits at her house and we remember fondly the times she saved us some poutines rapées!!!
