Lorraine Bastarache

Lorraine Bastarache, 87, of McNair Manor and formerly of Cornhill Street, Moncton, NB, passed away on Sunday, October 31st, 2010, at her residence.

Born in Ste Marie, NB, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and the late Marie (née: Melanson) Cormier.

Mrs. Bastarache was a housewife and dedicated her life to her family.

She is survived by three daughters: Diane (Jimmy) Kenny of Upper Coverdale, Lucille McCurdy (Allie) and Yvette (Chris) Beaman, both of Moncton; one son, Raymond (Bonnie) of Plaster Rock, NB; three sisters: Jeanne LeBlanc of Moncton, Irene Goguen and Aline LeBlanc, both of Dieppe; one brother, Christophe Cormier of Dieppe; 10 grandchildren; Shelley, Jeff, Tina, Shawn, Robbie, Julie, Damien, Carrie, Mark and Alyssa Rae; 9 great grandchildren: Justin, Joshua, Kleighton, Brooke, Kayla, Kacey, Carson, Ava and Isaac as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Yvon in 2008; three sisters: Beatrice, Rita and Marguerite and also by four brothers; Telex, Theodore, Antoine and Albert.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm and also on Wednesday from 1pm until time of service.

Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010 at 2 pm.

Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe NB.

 Donations to the Alzheimer Society or the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.


À sa résidence, le dimanche 31 octobre 2010, à l’âge de 87 ans, est décédée Lorraine Bastarache. Elle demeurait au McNair Manor autrefois de la rue Cornhill, Moncton, N.-B.

Mme Bastarche était ménagère et a dévoué sa vie pour sa famille.

Elle laisse dans le deuil trois filles: Diane (Jimmy) Kenny de Upper Coverdale, Lucille McCurdy (Allie) et Yvette (Chris) Beaman, toutes deux de Moncton; un fils, Raymond (Bonnie) de Plaster Rock, N.B.; trois soeurs: Jeanne LeBlanc de Moncton, Irene Goguen et Aline LeBlanc, toutes deux de Dieppe; un frère, Christophe Cormier de Dieppe; 10 petits-enfants; Shelley, Jeff, Tina, Shawn, Robbie, Julie, Damien, Carrie, Mark et Alyssa Rae; 9 arrière petits-enfants: Justin, Joshua, Kleighton, Brooke, Kayla, Kacey, Carson, Ava et Isaac ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nieces.

Son époux, Yvon en 2008; trois soeurs: Beatrice, Rita et Marguerite ainsi que quatre frères: Telex, Theodore, Antoine et Albert l’ont précédée dans la tombe.

Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., (857-1901) le mardi de 19h à 21h ainsi que le mercredi de 13h  jusqu’a l’heure des funérailles.

Les funérailles auront lieu en la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Chartersville, le mercredi 3 novembre 2010, à 14h.

L’inhumation se fera au cimetière Notre-Dame du Calvaire, Dieppe, N.-B.

Un don à la Société Alzheimer ou à une oeuvre de beinfaissance de choix serait apprecié par la famille.
