In Loving Memory Of
Lorraine Elizabeth Watson (Bastarache)
February 19, 2010

Dieppe, NB: It is with deepest regret and sadness that we announce the passing of
Lorraine Elizabeth Watson (Bastarache), 51, of Moncton and formerly of Dieppe, on Friday, February 19th 2010, at the Moncton Hospital after a brief but courageous battle with esophageal cancer.

After being diagnosed with cancer at the end of November 2009, Lorraine remained upbeat and positive about any and all hurdles she would have to face in the upcoming months and years. To those who knew her, this positive attitude would not come as a surprise. Growing up in Dieppe and living most of her life there, she touched a lot of people’s lives. Her willingness to help anyone in need has always been one of her best qualities. In life, Lorraine enjoyed few things more than a lazy Sunday afternoon watching NASCAR with her dog Bear or walking the beach at their cottage in Cap-Pelé with Marcel, Chance and Bear. Her passion for all animals will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her only daughter, Jenna Watson; her soul mate, Marcel LeBlanc, her parents: George and Holly Bastarache; two sisters: Michele (Michael Belliveau) and Monique (Gary Mellon); one brother, Mark; one niece, Michele; three nephews: Jason, Graig and Ethan as well as Jenna’s dad, Jim Watson (Susan).
Her sudden passing saddens us all and her kindness will be greatly missed, leaving our days a little less bright and our hearts a little less whole.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Wednesday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Ste-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB on Wednesday, February 24th 2010, at 11 am.

Donations to Canadian Cancer Society, SPCA Moncton or Autism Society NB, would be appreciated by the family.
