Moncton, NB (formerly of Grand-Barachois) – Lorraine Godin, 88, passed away peacefully at the Villa du Repos in Moncton, NB, on Monday, August 24, 2020.
Born in Cormier-Village, NB, she was the daughter of the late Lucas and the late Beatrice Belliveau (born Gaudet).
Lorraine was a Registered Nursing Assistant for her entire career and worked at Toronto’s Sick Children’s Hospital, Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC and Kinsmen Nursing Home.
Lorraine will be dearly missed by her daughter, Monique Godin-LeBlanc (Michel O.) of Irishtown; her grandchildren, Lauren and Samuel LeBlanc; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was the youngest of 14 children and is predeceased by her siblings, Delima LeBlanc, Helene LeBlanc, Bibienne Robichaud, Doris Ryan, Annie Ryan, Adolphe Belliveau, Joseph Belliveau, Edmond Belliveau, Lina Boudreau, Florine Gallant, Elodie Belliveau, Zelie Belliveau and Fred Belliveau.
As per request, there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Henri de Barachois in Grand-Barachois, on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 10:30 am. Everyone attending the service will be mandated to practice social distancing and wear a face mask. Please bring your own.
In memory of Lorraine, a donation can be made to the parish, for a mass or to the Alzheimer’s Society (NB).
