Louis Leger, 93, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB.
Born in St-Anselme, NB, he was the son of the late Edmond and the late Alvina (née: LeBlanc) Leger.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Leger had worked as a custodian at Polyvalente Mathieu-Martin. He loved gardening. Louis was a member of the Club d’Age d’Or and Saint Anselme Parish.
He is survived by two sons: Paul (Pauline) of Moncton and Jean-Guy (Annette Babineau) of Dieppe; two granddaughters: Lynn (Jamie) and Lisa (Tony); four great grandchildren: Vanessa, Neve, Eli and Evan; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine (née: Gaudet) in 1986 and also one son, Raymond in 1977.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (857-1901) on Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm ONLY.
Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB on Saturday, April 5th, 2014 at 11 am.
Interment in Saint-Anselme parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
Donations to the CHU Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Né à Saint-Anselme, N.-B., il était fils de feu Edmond et de feu Alvina (née LeBlanc) Leger.
Avant sa retraite, M. Leger avait travaillé comme concierge à la polyvalente Mathieu-Martin. Il aimait faire le jardinage. Louis était membre du Club d’Age d’Or et de la paroisse Saint Anselme.
Il laisse dans le deuil deux fils: Paul (Pauline) de Moncton et Jean-Guy (Annette Babineau) de Dieppe; deux petites-filles: Lynn (Jamie) et Lisa (Tony); quatres arrière petits-enfants: Vanessa, Neve, Eli et Evan; ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Son épouse, Lorraine (née: Gaudet) en 1986 ainsi que son fils, Raymond en 1977 l’ont précédé dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., (857-1901) le vendredi de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h SEULEMENT.
Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Anselme à Dieppe, N.-B., le samedi 5 avril, 2014 à 11h.
L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial Saint-Anselme, Dieppe, N.-B.
Un don à la Fondation CHU Dumont serait apprécié par la famille.
