In Loving Memory Of
Louise Bourgeois
1939 - 2023

Dieppe, N.-B – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Bourgeois, that occurred at the Foyer Saint-Thomas, in Memramcook, on Thursday, March 16th, 2023, at the age of 84.  

Born in Memramcook, she was the daughter of the late Albert LeBlanc and the late Beatrice (Landry) LeBlanc.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 62 years, Léonard, her three sons: Daniel and Jules of Dieppe, Didier (Sylvia) of Massachusetts; her granddaughter, Sophia, her five sisters: Jeannita (Edgar) Bourgeois, Violette (Jean-Paul) Gaudet, Léona (Omer) Bourgeois all of Dieppe, Majella (late Léonce) Gautreau of Memramcook and Lucie LeBlanc of Dieppe; her two brothers: Réné (Andréa) and Bernard (Huberte) both of Dieppe; her sisters-in-law: Alice, Philomène (Ron) and Jeannine; her brother-in-law, Ronald Johnson, all the extended Bourgeois family as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her two sisters: Angéline and Léa (infant) as well as her three brothers: Camille, Paul, and Raymond.  


There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held at Passage-Chartersville Funeral Chapel (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, E1A 1G1, 506-857-1901) on Saturday, March 25th at 10:30 am. Interment will be held in the St-Anselme parish cemetery in the spring.

In memory of Louise, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s society, to the Handi-Bus of Memramcook or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

The family wishes to express their gratitude towards the Foyer Saint-Thomas for the great care and compassion given to Louise during her stay.

  1. Leonard, Rich and I were so sorry to hear of Louise’s passing. We have warm memories of our time spent with the two of you, especially visiting in Dieppe and enjoying your hospitality. I know this has been a long sad road for all of you, Louise was fortunate to have you by her side as you all traveled the long goodbye together. Please know we are thinking of you and pray that your memories of a life well lived together sustain you. Our lives were made richer by knowing Louise and we are grateful for that.
