Lucie Despres, 79, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Stella Maris de Kent, Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on Thursday October 10, 2019. She was married to Yvon Despres. Born in Grande-Digue, she was the daughter of the late Arsène and Rosalie (Donelle) Gallant.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Yvon, her two sons; Maurice (Judy) of Saint-Thomas de Kent, Charles (Diane) of Leominster, MA, her five grandchildren; Mathew, Corey, Amanda, Chantal,Jimmy and four great grandchildren; Kayla, Paisley, Connor and Emerin. She also leaves to mourn her seven siblings; Lorraine Léger, Léa Girouard (Aldérie), Lévi (Marguerite), Léon-Paul (Marie-Paule), Lucien (Rachelle), Léonce (Bernice), Laurent (Denise) all of Grande-Digue as well as several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one sister Louise.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Tuesday October 15, 2019 from 1 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on October 15, at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Lucie’s memory, donations may be made to the CHU DUMONT Foundation.
