Lucille passed away on Tuesday, August 28th, 2018 at the Moncton Hospital, after a lengthy illness with breast cancer.
She was born on January 11th, 1941 in Mavillette, NS, to the late Frank and Lucie Saulnier.
Lucille worked as a secretary at the IWK Hospital in Halifax; also in Ottawa and Chatham, NB. Lucille and George have been residing in Dieppe for the past 50 years. She did local volunteer work; she was a member of seniors group "Grouille ou Rouille" for many years and she enjoyed travelling to many different parts of the world.
Lucille is survived by her loving husband, George Surette, to whom she was married for 56 years. She is also survived by daughters: Nicole (Claude) Vautour of Dartmouth, NS and Liane (Danny) LeBlanc of Dieppe, NB. She was very proud of her three grandchildren: Stéphane and Nadine Vautour and Joel Leblanc.
She is survived by two sisters: Marie (William) Deveau and Estelle (late Stanley) Saulnier; one brother, Jean (Monique) Saulnier; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Lucille is predeceased by her sister, Loretta (Bernard) Saulnier.
No visitation prior to funeral.
A celebration of the word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901), on Saturday, September 1st, 2018 at 10:30 am, with a reception to follow.
Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
Donations can be made to the CHU-Dumont Foundation (Oncology) or to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation "Neurology" would be appreciated by the family.
