Lydia Melanson, 82, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Friday, December 14th, 2007 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital.
Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Georges and the late Demerise (née: Roy) Pitre.
She had retired from Canada Post and was a parishioner of St.-Anselme Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by three sons: Ronald (Marjorie) of Oshawa, ON, Raymond (Yolande) of Dieppe and Gerry of Dartmouth, NS; 3 grandchildren: Yves, Michel and Jessica ; one great grandson, Justin as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was the last surviving member of her family having been predeceased by her husband, Laurie in 1999; one son, Normand; two sisters: Georgina and Stella; one half-sister, Hélène; four brothers: Henry, Blair, Albenie and Cloris and also by two half-brothers: Joseph and Eddy.
Visitation will be held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB 857-1901, on Tuesday, December 18th, 2007, from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated from St.-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, on Wednesday, December 19th, 2007, at 10: 30 am.
Interment in St.-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
