Born in St-Paul-de-Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Antoine and the late Exelda (Maillet) Richard.
Mae was a loving mother, grandmother and devoted wife. She was her grandchildren’s biggest fan. She was a talented seamstress and mouth organ player. A good Christian, she lived to serve others and wanted nothing in return.
Mae will be sadly missed by her daughter, Lynn Richard (David) of Grande-Digue; her brother, Arcade (Claire) of Leominister, Mass; her sister, Herminie LeBlanc (late Léo) of Grande-Digue; her sister-in-law, Alice Nowlan of Templeton, Mass; her two grandchildren, Luc (Josée) and Renée; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Roger (2011); three sisters, Sr Alice Richard, Doris Adams (Robert) and Laura Goyette (Victor); one brother, Noël.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. There will be no visitations on Monday. Funeral service will be celebrated at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue, on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 4 pm. Interment in Passage Columbarium.
Donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital (Oncology), Canadian Red Cross or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
