Shediac, NB – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Marc Marcel Lucas in the early hours of Tuesday, December 13th, 2022 at the young age of 42.

Born in Dieppe, he was the son of Glen Lucas and Gisele Lucas (Richard).

Besides his parents, Marc will be greatly missed by his spouse, Cindy Arseneault; their daughter, Eva Albertine Lucas; his two sisters: Nathalie (Michel) Boucher of Shediac, Shauna (Jean-Marc) Lucas of Moncton; his half-brother, Patrick Cormier; his paternal grandmother, Louise Lucas; his three brothers-in-law: Shawn (Madelaine) Arseneault of Moncton, Kyle Arseneault, and Curtis Arseneault both of Rogersville; his parents-in-law, Pauline and Leroy Arseneault of Rogersville; his nieces: Danika, Sofia; his nephews: Sebastien, Samuel; as well as many cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Albertine and Arthur Richard; and his Paternal grandfather, Joseph Lucas.

Marc was a loving father and husband, always looking forward to their next adventure. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and could often be found sitting at a poker table with them on the weekends. Marc had a joy and passion for life, he enjoyed travelling, music, and boating with his best friend Luc by his side. Marc was employed with Air Canada for the past 22 years and had just earned a promotion which he was so thrilled to have achieved.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, December 20th, 2022 at Passage-Chartersville (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe) from 9:00am until 11:00am and from 1:00pm until time of service. Funeral service will take place in the chapel at 3:00pm.

In honour of Marc, donations can be made to the family to go towards his daughter, Eva’s education by email transfer at lucas_nat_nic@hotmail.com.

  10. Taking the 6am flight was always made easier when I’d see my old friend Marc on the bridge or tarmac. His smile was infectious and is something I will always remember.
    Friends since elementary school, I will be thinking of his family and friends. You will be missed Marc! Gone way too soon.

  38. So shocked to hear of Marc’s sudden passing. He was always good for a laugh when I was in YQM conducting training for Air Canada. Another friend gone way to soon….rest easy Marc.
