In Loving Memory Of
Marc Michaud
1930 ~ 2022

Grande-Digue, NB (formerly of Moncton) – Marc Michaud, 91, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Villa Providence in Shediac, on Thursday, July 7, 2022 after a long illness with diabetes and dementia.

Born in Grand-Falls, NB, he was the son of the late Henri and the late Roseanna (Ruest) Michaud.

Marc previously resided with his daughter France and Anna for 7 years. In June he was placed at Villa Providence in Shediac.  We want to thank the staff for taking such good care of dad in such a short time. Marc was very grateful and had always a beautiful smile on his face. He was a coin collector, loved to bowl and won many tournaments.  Shuffleboard, music and cowboy movies, were other activities he enjoyed. Marc worked at Hotel Beauséjour for many years before his retirement.

He was the last survivor of his immediate family and will be sadly missed by his two children: France (Anna) of Grande-Digue and Michel (France) of Orford, QC; five grandchildren: Christine, Vincent, Marie Julie, Nicole and Michelle; also by eight great grandchildren: Zoey, Theo, Aleyxandra, Jett, Grey, Cache, Elora and David.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Bernadette Michaud (Lizotte) in 1993; he infant daughter, Micheline; three sisters: Eva, Florida, Edwina; two brothers: Onile and Ovide.

In respect to Marc’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral.

He will forever be in our hearts.

Dear France & Michel, It is with great sorrow that I read of your fathers passing. Your mom and dad were great friends with my mom and dad and you may remember when you were on Bonnacord that we would often visit you and spend usually Sunday afternoon playing together, as the adults would play cards and maybe have a glass or two. I also had the privilege of working with your dad, when he was at the Beausejour. Good and fond memories of our youth and of your parents, always gracious and generous. My condolences to you all, may he rest in peace.
