Marcel Henrie, 88, of Saint-Paul-de-Kent, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 5th, 2023, at his residence.
Born in Saint-Paul-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Donat and the late Marie (Leger) Henrie.
Prior to his retirement, M. Henrie was a teacher at Saint-Paul-de-Kent School and Clément Cormier High School in Bouctouche. He was an avid golfer. He was also very involved in his community and multiple organisations by volunteering many hours. He helped and touched many throughout his life.
Pape, Pépére and Grand-Pépére was always looking forward to seeing his family, and making sure everyone felt loved. He will be sadly missed by his son, Jean-Claude Henrie (Joanne), of Saint-Paul-de-Kent; his daughter, Micheline Girouard (a special friend), of Saint-Paul-de-Kent; his grandchildren: Marc, Michelle, Julie and Joël; his great grandchildren: Sarah, Emma, Maya, Lexie, Cédric and Olivia; his sisters: Annette Babineau (late Noé), of Bouctouche, Emélia Allain (late Gerald), of Waltham, Mass and Georgia Allain (Gerard), of Ste-Marie-de-Kent; his brother, Valmond Henrie (Edna), of Waltham, Mass; his special nieces: Noëlla, Annette, Louise and Rosella, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jeannine (Gaudet) Henrie, in 2021; by his sisters: Lucille and infant Janice and also by his brothers: Paul, Gerald, Alfred, Albert, Donald and Jean-Eudes.
Visitation will be held from Saint-Paul-de-Kent Funeral Salon, on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023, from 7 to 9 pm and also on Thursday, January 12th, 2023 from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 to 6:45 pm.
Funeral mass will be held from Saint-Paul de-Kent RC Church, on Thursday, January 12th, 2023 at 7 pm, service will be online on our website, the day following the service.
In M. Henrie’s memory, a donation can be made to the Saint-Paul-de-Kent Parish or a memorial of the donor’s choice.

Marcel fut bien reconnu de la part de toute la paroisse lors du souper annuel du Club d’age d’or en décembre dernier…..les éloges de tous les associations, groupes et les personnes dont il a grandement marque!!!! A Jean-Claude, Micheline et la famille, nos plus sincères condoléances.
