Born in Haute-Aboujagane, NB, he was the son of the late Alphonse and late Adela Léger (nee Bourque).
Marcel will be sadly missed by his wife, Lorraine Léger (nee Arseneault) of Moncton; by his two daughters, Vicky de Freitas (Kevin) of Moncton, Tina Melanson (Dan) of Saint John; by his three sisters, Denise Duchesne (late Georges), Doris Brun (Philippe) all of Haute-Aboujagane and Diane Léger of Moncton; by his two brothers, Lévi of Halifax, NS and Benoit of Edmonton, AB; by his two granddaughters, Kaela Léger (Christine) of Edmundston and Jasmine de Freitas of Moncton; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Rachelle Léger and by his brother, Francis Léger
Visitation and funeral service will be at the Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Rd (corner of West Lane & Mountain Rd) on Monday, August 22nd, 2016 from 7:00 – 9:00pm and on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grace RC Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016 at 4:00pm.
