Margaret Trenholm, 88, of Saint John, NB, passed away on Sunday, December 4th, 2011, at the Moncton Hospital.

Born in Sydney, NS, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Mary (née: MacQueen) Harguay.

Mrs. Trenholm was a member of the Church of Hope in Saint John, NB. She along with her husband, Herman pastored several churches in the Maritimes for over 50 years.

She is survived by two daughters: Ruth (late Robert) Johnstone and Rose (Jeff) Goodwin both of Dieppe; two sons: Richard (Pat) of Cobourg, ON and Ronald (Dianne) of Saint John, NB; she is also survived by a sister, Pearle (Fred) Clarke of Sydney, NS, the last sibling of a family of 12; one son-in-law, Hugh McDonald of Saint John, NB; one sister-in-law, Doris Murray of Saint John, NB; one brother-in-law, Cedric (Mary) Trenholm of Moncton; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Herman in 2009; one daughter, Rebecca as well as many brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Friday from 10 am until time of service.

Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, Dieppe, NB, on Friday, December 9th, 2011 at 11 am.

Interment in Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin, NB.

Donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Hospice Greater Moncton or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
