Shediac, NB – Marguerite Arsenault, 95, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, December 12, 2015.
Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Willie and the late Élizabeth (Bourque) Bourgeois.
Marguerite moved to Shediac in 1991 and was residing at the” O Bon Soins” since 2006. She had a hairdressing business for 54 years.
She was the last surviving member of her family, she will be sadly missed by her children, Isabelle Thomas (Armand) of Shediac, Odette Bourque and Pierre Bourque (Joanne) both of Moncton; her seven step-children, Claudette Cormier (Louis Lirette) of Cocagne, Yvon (Lucie) of Shediac, Maria Nowlan (Lawrence) of Bouctouche, Raymond (Aldoria), Florence Cormier (Clarence), Bernice Ferron (Julien) all of Cocagne and André (Denise) of Montreal; her six grandchildren; her eleven great grandchildren; also by thirteen step-grandchildren and eighteen step-great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Laurie Bourque (1968); her second husband, Marcel Arsenault (2010); three brothers, Dr. Camille M.D., Daniel and Paul; one sister, Dorilla.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 9 to 10:15 am. Funeral mass will be held at the St-Joseph RC Church in Shediac on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 11 am. Reception to follow. Burial will take place this spring at the Our Lady of Calvary in Dieppe.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the CHU Dumont Foundation (palliative care department) or to donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
