Shediac – Marguerite A. (Poirier) Fougère, 69, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, on Saturday, September 8, 2012, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Grande-Digue on July 24, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and late Laura (Gallant) Poirier.
Marguerite spent most of her life and was educated in Grande-Digue and worked for many years at the Villa Providence in Shediac.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Suzanne Silver (Lester) of Manchester, NH; one brother, Léandre Poirier (Rachel) of Moncton; two sisters, Diana Legere (Gérard) of Grande-Digue, Elisabeth Arsenault (Roger) of Moncton; her sister-in-law, Lilliane Poirier of Shediac; her three grandchildren, Jessika of New Durham NH, Elizabeth of Boston, MA and Matthew of Manchester NH; also by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved son, Raymond J. Fougère (1976); two brothers, Jean-Paul and Camille Poirier.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 2 to 4 pm and at 6 till time of the funeral. Funeral service will be held at Passage Chapel in Shediac Bridge on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 7 pm.
Donations to the Villa Providence Inc. in Shediac or to donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
