Maria Cormier, 85, of Manoir St-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche, has passed away peacefully at the Manoir on Thursday June 4, 2020. She was married to the late Emile Cormier (2019). Born in Richiboucto-Village, she was the daughter of the late Gonzague and the late Vianna (Caissie) Richard.
She will be sadly missed by her five children; Ginette Cormier (Bernard) of Dieppe, Monique Richard (Ron) of Moncton, Denise Léger (Eugène) of Cocagne, Micheline Cormier (Eric) of Moncton, Paul-Emile (Suzanne) of Cocagne, her three grandchildren; Sylvie, Nicole and Rémi as well as four great grandchildren; Véronique, Joel, Janie and Alexi. She also leaves to mourn two sisters; Yvonne Savoie of Saint-Charles, Marie-Paul Paquin of USA, one brother; Normand Babineau (Ida) of Richiboucto-Village as well as several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one sister Eleonore and one brother Eugère.
A private funeral service was held at Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche on Tuesday June 9, 2020 in accordance with the public health directives. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
