Bouctouche, NB – Maria Maillet, 84, passed away peacefully at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Bas-Cap-Pelé on September 26, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Emery and Elise (Landry) Brun.
Maria will be sadly missed by her husband, Jean-Paul; her two sons, Ronald (Ann) of Port Charlotte, FL and Bernard (Jennie) of Calgary, AB; her two brothers, Romuald Brun (Dina) of Dieppe and Régis Brun of Moncton; her three sisters, Eva Digby (Wilfred) of Hamner, ON, Aline Savoie (late Adelard) of Toronto, ON and Laurida Lang (Marcel) of Dieppe; a daughter-in-law, Marguerite (late Eugène) of Waltham, Mass; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sons, Maurice and Eugène; two sisters, Lorraine and Léoline; five brothers, Alfred, Aimé, Omer, Adrice and Armand.
There will be no visitations at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be held at the St-Jean Baptiste RC Church in Bouctouche on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 2:30 pm.
