Moncton, NB – Maria Robichaud, 75, passed away peacefully at her residence, on Thursday, September 5, 2013, after a lengthy illness.

Born in St-Philippe, NB on December 8, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Jeanne (Gallant) Caissie.

Maria worked at Delta Beauséjour and at Villa du Repos as a cook.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Rémi Robichaud; her children, Jean-Guy (Mary) of St-Philippe, Juliette Vienneau (Greg) of Moncton and Daniel (Mary) of Moncton; her two grandchildren, Amélie (Ryan) and Marcel; her three great grandchildren, Isabelle, Dylan and Mason; her three brothers, Andy (Phyllis) of Moncton, Louis (Yvonne) of Cap-Breton Rd and Robert (Rita) of St-Philippe; her four sisters, Thérèse Robichaud (Charles) of St-Charles, Hélèna Vaughan (Bob) of Riverview, Lorraine Reed (Murray) of St-Philippe and Carole Petitpas of Moncton; also by several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to caregiver, Joanne Darveau and a special recognition to her long term caregiver and friend, Gloria Gallant.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Adrien. .

In respect to Maria’s wishes there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held at the Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix RC Church (87 Murphy Ave) in Moncton, on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 4 pm. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arthritis Society (Crest Syndrome Dept.) or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
