Maria Roy, 71, of Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton and formerly of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, passed away peacefully at the Nursing Home on Tuesday February 16, 2021. Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late Aurèle and the late Jeanne (Belliveau) Roy.
Maria worked as a social worker for the province of New Brunswick for several years.
She will be missed by her longtime friend; Stella McDonald of Saint-Paul as well as several cousins.
She was predeceased by two brothers; Gerard (2005) and Jean-Paul (2016).
Due to the covid-19 pandemic restriction, a private visit and private funeral service will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche at a later date. Interment will be in the Sainte-Marie-de-Kent parish cemetery in the spring.
