Marie Babineau, 76, of Moncton, NB, passed away on Saturday, February 2nd, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital.
Born in Sunny Brae, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and the late Amanda (née: DesRoches) Melanson.
Mrs. Babineau, prior to retirement worked as a secretary, she enjoyed bowling and spent many hours volunteering for the Blood Donor Clinics and Meals-on-Wheels programs, was a member of both, Club d’Age d’Or -Christ Roi and Notre-Dame de Grace and a parishioner of Christ-Roi Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Hector; one sister, Stella (George) Vanbuskirk of Moncton as well as several nieces and nephews.
Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her step-father, Albert Girouard; one son, Jacques; one sister, Bertha and also by one brother, Bertin.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Wednesday, February 6th, 2008 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at Chris-Roi Roman Catholic Church, on Thursday, February 7th, 2008 at 11 am. Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
Donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation “Oncology” or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
