MARIE LEBLANC

Marie V. LeBlanc, 92, of Manoir Notre-Dame and formerly of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Wednesday, March 4th 2009 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital.

Born in Egmont Bay, PEI, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and the late Clairice (née: LeClerc) Arsenault.
Well known and admired for her lifetime love of music, she served as organist at Ste.-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church in Dieppe for almost 30 years. She was a long time member of the Dieppe Golden Age Club and proud of having been recognized as volunteer of the year by the town of Dieppe. Mrs. LeBlanc greatly enjoyed cooking, needlework, crocheting, crossword, puzzles, reading and gardening.

She is survived by three sons: Jean-Guy (Lisa) of Fox Creek, Louis “Lucas” (Gisèle) of Grande Digue and Roger (Phyllis) of Dieppe; three sisters: Rita Poirier of Moncton, Sr. Alice Arsenault, r.h.s.j. of Bathurst and Thérèse Goguen of Moncton; three brothers: Jérôme Arsenault and Léo Arsenault both of Hamilton, ON and André (Bernice) Arsenault of Moncton; 8 grandchildren: Mario, Janelle, Stéfanie, Renée, Kristyn, Joanne, Nadine and Martin; 2 great grandchildren: Josée and Mia; 3 step grandchildren: Cristelle, Luc and Sylvie as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Damien in 2002; one son, Edouard in 1996; one sister, Hélène and two brothers: Alcide and Joseph.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Monday from 1 pm until time of departure.

Funeral mass will be celebrated from the Ste.-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, on Monday March 9th 2009 at 2 pm.

Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB

Donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation or to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Née à Egmont Bay, I.-P.-E., ellle était fille de feu Wilfred et de feu Clairice (née: LeClerc) Arsenault.

Elle laisse dans le deuil trois fils: Jean-Guy (Lisa) de Fox Creek, Louis “Lucas” (Gisèle) de Grande Digue et Roger (Phyllis) de Dieppe; trois soeurs: Rita Poirier de Moncton, Sr Alice Arsenault, r.h.s.j. de Bathurst et Thérèse Goguen de Moncton; trois frères: Jérôme Arsenault et Léo Arsenault tous deux de Hamilton, ON et André (Bernice) Arsenault de Moncton; 8 petits-enfants: Mario, Janelle, Stéfanie, Renée, Kristyn, Joanne, Nadine et Martin; 2 arrière petits-enfants: Josée et Mia; 3 beau petits-enfants: Cristelle, Luc et Sylvie ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.

Son époux, Damien (2002); son fils, Edouard (1996); une soeur, Hélène ainsi que deux frères: Alcide et Joseph l’ont précédée dans la tombe.

Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., (857-1901) le dimanche de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h et le lundi de 1h jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles.

Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Ste-Thérèse, Dieppe N.-B., le lundi 9 mars, 2009 à 2h.
