Marie Melanson, 86, of Dixon Point, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at her residence, on Sunday March 25, 2018. She was married to the late Antoine Melanson (2001). Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Telesphore and the late Alice (Roy) Maillet.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Louise LeBlanc (Ronald) of Dixon Point, her granddaughter Véronique Goguen (Denis) and her great grandson Sylvain. She also leaves to mourn two sisters; Annette Maillet of Bouctouche and Bernice Savoie of Waltham, Mass as well as several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased two sisters; Florence and Hélène and two brothers; Yvon and Alonzo.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Monday March 26, 2018 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. A funeral service will be celebrated at the funeral home on Monday March 26, 2018 at 7:30 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Marie’s memory donations may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation.
