Moncton, NB – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marilyn Margaret Johnson (nee Hanbidge) 75, of MacDougall Settlement, that occurred on February 26th, 2024, at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Windsor, Ontario she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Margaret Hanbidge.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of almost 50 years, Ronald Harrison Johnson; her sons, Jeff (Tara) and Mike (Chrissy), her grandchildren: Hailey (Alex) Emma, and Avis.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved sister Gail (Edward) Lenuik.
Upon retiring from Irving Tissue, Marilyn looked forward to the summertime the most. She loved gardening, her screenhouse, and spending time with her family and friends, particularly her grandchildren.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the doctors, nurses, and staff who cared for her at the Oncology Unit of the Moncton Hospital. Your kindness and care meant so much to Marilyn and her family.
As per Marliyn’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Interment to take place at a later date.

My sincere condolences to all of Marilyn’s family. I was a co worker at Irving Tissue with Marilyn. She was a great lady, and you knew if you got Marlyns stamp of approval you would fit right in. She was a legend there.

Remi and I stood up at Marilyn and Ronnie’s wedding and lived beside them for decades, whenever there was a crisis Marilyn was always there for us and there were a lot of crisis’s.
