Marina Allain, 69, of Saint-Edouard-de-Kent, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on Thursday February 14, 2019. She was married to Michel Allain. Born in Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Alcide and the late Géraldine (Richard) Despres.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Michel, her two sons; Bernard of Cocagne and Joey (Nicole) of Saint-Joseph-de-Kent, her three grandchildren; Katelynn, Kristina, Jessica and one great grandson Joseph. She also leaves to mourn three sisters; Louisa Foster (Wayne) of Cape Cod, Linda Allain (Albert), Jeannine Despres (Alonzo Savoie) of Saint-Edouard-de-Kent, her three brothers; Jean-Paul (Murielle) of Bouctouche, Elmo (Maria) and Omer of Cocagne as well as several nephews and nieces.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Tuesday February 19, 2019 from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Wednesday February 20, 2019 at 4:00 pm with interment in the Sainte-Anne-de-Kent Parrish Cemetery in the spring.
In Marina’s memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
