In Loving Memory Of
Marina Andrea Bourque
1942 ~ 2023

It’s with sadness that we announce that our Marina Bourque (ne: LeBlanc) will be joining her late son, Roger, after passing away on Sunday, November 5th, 2023 from cancer. By her side was her husband, Don Bourque (60 years of marriage); her daughter, Monique (Brennan); her son; Rick (Bourque); her daughter in law, Renee (Doiron), and her 3 grandchildren: Jessica (28), Morgan (26) and Alex (16).

Born in Dorchester, NB in ’42 to Alderic and Geneva (LeBlanc), she was the middle of 5 children. Predeceased by her brothers: Claude and Paul and survived by her brothers: Donald (Dorine Williams) and Bert (Dorine Hachey); her nephew, Danny, and her niece, Stefanie respectively.

To the Dieppe community, Marina will be remembered as co-owner of the Busy ‘B’; the convenience store where everyone from the surrounding areas of Chartersville, St. Anselme and Memramcook would stop in for stuff and stick around to banter with Marina and Don.

Marina loved to laugh and enjoyed the affectionate teasing that often happened at our LeBlanc, Bourque and other family get-togethers.

To her family and close friends, Marina will be remembered for how much she loved sailing with Don, spending time at her Cape Pele beach, travelling with their motorhome, gardening, playing cards, watching her grandkids’ sporting events and collecting most anything like recipes and sea glass.

Being able to enjoy the warmth of the sun was her happy place and why winters in the Bourque household were marked by Marina’s cursing the first snowflakes. Marina fulfilled her retirement goal with Don and spent the past 3 decades escaping the Canadian cold to live in Treasure Island, Florida.

Her hope was that her kids, grandkids, and future generations could live out their dreams like she did.

We welcome all who knew her for visitation at Passage-Chartersville, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB E1A 1G1 (506) 857-1901, on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 7pm to 9pm and on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 9am to 11am. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery’s columbarium in Dieppe

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.
