In Loving Memory Of
Marjorie LeBlanc
1934 ~ 2023

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our mom, Marjorie F LeBlanc (McInnis) of Moncton.  Following a brief illness, mom died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, Dec 2, 2023.

Born in Moncton she was the wife of the late Roger E LeBlanc (2008).

Mom and dad spent over 30 years in Fredericton, where she met many friends, especially while involved with St. Anthony’s parish where she was a member of their choir for many years.

She enjoyed music and was a great dancer, made soup regularly for the Fredericton soup kitchen and was an avid bridge player when living in Fredericton and Moncton.

Mom enjoyed many sunsets over the Northumberland Strait at Ann’s Acres, where she and dad spent over 50 summers at the cottage with family and friends. She was known to enjoy a glass of sherry, a good cup of tea, a good book, and finding a good bargain.

She was Mom to Monique (Don) Rutherford, Dieppe; Marcia (Roger) Cormier, Shediac; Jeffrey Victoria, BC ; Marlene (Brian) McKenna of Pennington NJ; Richard , Bayfield NB; Barry, Fredericton.

She was Nanny to grandchildren Colin (Jody ) Rutherford , Wade (Susan) Rutherford ; Christine (Julien ) Couturier, Nicholas(Janice)LeBlanc,  Renée LeBlanc ,Mélissa LeBlanc; Casey LeBlanc, Jeremy LeBlanc; Katelyn McKenna, Brian McKenna; Erika (Luke) McLaughlin, Michael(Haley) LeBlanc and great grandchildren Audrey; Brooklyn; Jean-Michel( Tatiana) , Ryan, Chloe, Alec, Sophie; Annabelle, Vanessa; Paul, Charlotte; Léa ,  Jacob, Olivia; Amelia.

Besides our dad, mom was predeceased by her parents and siblings, and survived by many nieces and nephews. Mom touched many people’s lives in which her memory will live on, especially her family. She will be greatly missed.

A special thank you to extra mural nurse Joannie Hache and the rest of the team. Your kindness will be forever remembered.

No visitations or flowers per mom’s request. Donations in her memory may be made to Ray of Hope Kitchen, or the charity of your choice.

Funeral service will be held at St Bernard’s Church on Friday, December 8 at 11am. Interment in St Bartholomew Cemetery, Melrose NB.

We know she will be missed by friends & family. Anne`s Acres has lost one of it`s original settlers & will miss her. May her legacy carry on through her family.

  22. Sincere Sympathy to Marge’s family & friends. She was a driving force in the formation of St. Anthony’s Choir in Fredericton under the direction of Bob Barry. Her enthusiasm for the growth of this Senior Choir was much appreciated. Thanks be to God for Marge’s participation and her loving concern.

  23. Monique. We are so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I just heard of it today from a cousin in Moncton. I have many fond memories of picnic luncheons and visiting the cottage before and after the kids. Marg and I spent many years being good friends in school as well. I am sorry that we missed the opportunity to reunite when I was in Moncton a few years ago. We did try for a reunion but it didn’t work. Even not seeing her for many years does not erase our friendship in our early years. Our deepest condolences for your loss.
