In Loving Memory Of
Marjorie M. Surette
1939 ~ 2022

Moncton, NB – Marjorie M. Surette, 82, passed away peacefully at Villa du Repos in Moncton, on Thursday, May 19, 2022.

Mom’s life was not easy but she overcame a lot. She raised us, 4 children the best she could as a single mother and put a roof over our heads and food in our mouths and clothes on our back.  She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Finally at peace in heaven with her parents, sister, brother and loving husband. Marjorie was blind, she couldn’t see with her eyes but she could see with her heart. All the love she had for others was not always enough but I made sure she knew it was enough for us. In her last day, she was talking up a storm and said her goodbyes to her family and friends as I sat there with her knowing it was the end. I told her it was OK to go so she could be reunited with her loved ones. Marjorie loved to dance to her favorite songs by George Jones, Charlie Pride and others. God has taken a beautiful soul to be with him in heaven and now she has her wings to be our Guardian Angel. How much you are missed and loved but you will always and forever be in our hearts and you will be looking over us all. It’s not goodbye, until we meet again.

Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and the late Cora Hogan (Furlong).

Marjorie is survived by her children: Alma (Larry), Rodney (Pam), Kevin Vaughan and Steven Vaughan (Debbie) all of Moncton; her grandchildren: Sheena, Ryan, Kyle, Michael, Christopher and Justin; her great grandchildren: Hannah, Aiden and Nadia; her brothers: Lyle (Annette), Sterling (Laurdes), Jack (Alberdeen) and Vinny (Brenda) all of Moncton; her sisters: Vicky (Jim) and Lida (late Brian) both of Moncton; her sister-in-law: Marie (late Eugene); also by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Bernard “Bernie”; her sister, Ann Fraser and her brother, Eugene.

Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road, Moncton, NB (506) 855-1145, on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 2pm until celebration of life at 5pm at Passage Chapel.

  1. My thoughts are with your family at this sad time. I knew Marjorie and Bernie when they lived behind lyles garage on Weldon Street. They were both very nice people.

  2. We would like to extend our sincerest condolences to Vicky and her family on the passing of her sister, Marjorie. May you find peace at this time in the company of family and friends, and in memories shared.
