Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Steeves passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital,
surrounded by the love of her family, on April 27, 2026, at the age of 77.
Born on December 29, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Walter Tibbo and Ella Tibbo. Betty was a devoted wife to her late husband, Hedley Donald Steeves Jr., with whom she shared many cherished years.
She will be deeply missed by her loving children: Ann, Robert (Kelly), and Tanya; her dear daughter-in-law, Karen Steeves (Julien); and her beloved siblings: Bonnie, Bob (Trish), and Brad (Jayne).
Betty was a proud and caring grandmother to Ryan (Katie), Tanisha (C.J.), Brianna (Nathan), and Tarah (Charles), and a treasured great-grandmother to her four great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.
Betty will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her kindness, and the love she shared so freely with her family and all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Hedley, resting peacefully.
As per Betty’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
A celebration of life will be held on May 10, 2026, at 821 Indian Mountain Road, Indian Mountain, New Brunswick.

I am so heartbroken to hear of Betty’s passing. She was such a happy kind cousin always smiling always a kind word. Her love for her family was strong and loyal, she held close, valued and respected each and everyone. She had such pride and joy in her grandchildren and especially great grands, she loved children and her gratitude and appreciation for having them glowed. You will be so missed Betty 💔.
My sympathy to the families of Betty whom l work with as an operator . she always had a big smile on her when you come in to work. She made our day work easier.
