1956 ~ 2024

Maureen F Murphy, 68 of Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Friday, April 26th, 2024. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Agnes (Murray) Murphy.

Maureen enjoyed bowling outings and socializing with close friends. A former volunteer usher at the Capitol Theatre, Maureen also loved nights out dancing. She loved cats especially her favourite Missy and big Red. An employee of Walmart Dieppe for 30 years, Maureen was a Greeter who loved welcoming customers with a pleasant

disposition and willingness to chat.

Maureen will be sadly missed by her partner of 25 years, William MacAdam, as well as brothers: Danny (Claudette), John (Rose), and Kevin (late Sandy); sisters-in-law Theresa, Sherill, and Claire; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Maureen was predeceased by brothers Raymond (Rita), Hubert, Gregory (Laura), Patrick, Neil and David; sisters Joan (Don), Ann (Jim) and Bernadette (Gary).

Visitation will be held at Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 506-857-1901) on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024, from 7:00 to 9:00pm and again​​​ on Friday, May 3rd, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00am followed by a service for Maureen at 11 am at the Passage Funeral Chapel, Dieppe.

A reception will follow.

Donations in Maureen’s memory can be made to Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
