Grande-Digue, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maurice Donelle, 73, on Wednesday, November 26th, 2025, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB.
Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Johnny and the late Alouiza (LeBlanc) Donelle.
Maurice was an outdoorsman at heart. He loved camping, hiking in the woods, riding his bike, and tending to his garden. A former fisherman, he was always happiest near the water, whether out at sea, in the pool, or relaxing on the beach. Above all, he treasured time spent with his three grandchildren, family and friends, sharing stories and laughter. He will always be in our thoughts.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Huberte (Daigle) Donelle; by his daughters: France Donelle (Conrad Després) of Grande-Digue and Janick Donelle (Matthew McKeigan) of Memramcook; by his grandchildren: Damien, Céo and Mick; by his sisters: Jeannette Théorệt (Jacques) of Quebec, Lucienne Donelle (Ola), Dianne Bastarache and Réjeanne Belliveau (Gerald), all of Moncton and Lise Arsenault (Bernard) of Grande-Digue; by his brothers: Clarence (Hélène) of Shediac, Bernard (Rose) of Grande-Digue, Paul (Cécile) of St-Marcel and Daniel (Thérèse) of Grande-Digue, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Passage, 3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge, NB, (506) 532-1050, on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, from 1 pm to 3:30 pm, followed by the funeral mass at La Visitation RC Church, Grande-Digue, NB at 4 pm.
Burial will be held in the Parish Cemetery.
In Maurice’s memory, a donation can be made to the CHU-Dumont Foundation “Oncology”.
