Maurice Robert Richard, 60, of Shediac Bridge, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 3rd, 2023, at his home with his family by his side.

Maurice was born on August 16th, 1962 in Moncton, NB to Robert and Louise Richard. 

Maurice was fortunate enough to have been able to receive his care at home. The family is grateful for the great service they received from their family, Dr. Dahan, the oncology unit at the George Dumont Hospital as well as the Extra Mural nurses.

Maurice was an employee at the Glass factory in Scoudouc for 28 years. 

Maurice loved his family and his friends; he is survived by his wife and best friend, Terry; his daughters: Danielle (Earl) of Shediac Bridge and Lyne (Ryan) of Caissie Cape and his grandson, Jacques (Nadia), which was the joy of his life.

Maurice loved to laugh, joke and was always at the ready to lend a helping hand wherever he was needed. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved sitting at the wharf and watching the sun come up, every morning.

Maurice was also survived by his mother, Louise; his sister, Gisele (Maurice); his brother, Bernie (Patty) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.

He was predeceased by his father, Robert (Bob) and by his sister, Linda.

Visitation will be held from Passage, 3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge, NB, (506) 532-1050, on Friday, March 10th, 2023 from 7 to 9 pm and also on Saturday, March 11th, 2023 from 10 am to 10:45 am, followed by the service in the chapel at 11 am.

A reception will follow at Notre Centre, Grande-Digue, NB.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a memorial of choice.

  8. I am very saddened to hear of Maurice’s passing. To Terry, Danielle, Lyne, Jacques, Gisele, Bernie and Louise. I want to express my deepest condolences 💐. My thoughts and prayers go out to you through this difficult time. I will be reflecting and sending prayers during Maurice’s service as I am out of the country until March 13.
