Maurice Richard
November 22th, 1950 ~ February 9th, 2021

Born in Grande-Digue, NB, he was the son of the late Irené Richard and the late Lila Richard (born Léger).

Maurice was a kind hearted man who loved to play music. He started to play when he was around the age of 15 years old and he played for several bands during his life. He worked for Maritime Pipe Organ Builders Ltd as a pipe organ tuner for 36 years.

Maurice is survived and also sadly missed by his wife of 48 years of marriage, Dorinne Richard of Cap-Pelé; his son, Mathieu Richard (Katty) of Cap-Pelé; his daughter, Jaqueline Richard of Moncton; three brothers, Albert Richard (Anne) of Shediac River, Robert Richard (Lucille) of Waltham, Mass and Camille Richard (Jeannita) of Shediac; three sisters, Jeanita Evers (late Ben) of Moncton, Rosaline Babineau (Aurèle) of Grande-Digue and Pauline Doucet (Robert) of Moncton; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; two granddaughters, Abbigail and Isabella; also by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Joseph (Infant).

Visitations was held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 2pm to 4 pm and from 7pm to 9 pm, with a maximum of 25 people at a time.

Funeral mass will be celebrated at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue, on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 11am. 

The family would like to thank the “Ti Bon Soins” nursing home and all the doctors and nurses working at the Palliative Care of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre for their excellent care and compassion during the hardest moments.
