St-Paul-de-Kent, NB – May Maillet, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 17th, 2021 at the Dr. George -L.- Dumont University Hospital Centre of Moncton, NB.
Born in Ste-Marie-de-Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Thaddé and the late Béatrice Collette (born Cormier).
May was a woman of heart, she always took care of others, and her family was her priority. She loved to make food and make sure everyone had a full stomach. She had a passion for flowers. At home one could always observe very well-maintained flowers.
May will be sadly missed by three sons, Roméo Maillet (Joan) of Massachusetts ; Bernard Maillet (Murielle) and Guy Maillet (Charline) both of Bouctouche ; six daughters, Rose-Marie Maillet (Jean-Paul) of Florida ; Bernice Maillet of Ste-Marie-de-Kent ; Gloria Gaudet (Jean) of St-Paul ; Gisèle Allain (Jean-Marie), Norma Richard (Marcel) both of Ste-Marie ; and Jacqueline Maillet (Gene) of Bouctouche ; her grandchildren, Carole, Chantal, Sylvette, Joline, Matthew, Lisa, Rachelle, Stéphane, Michael, Amy, Stéphanie, Chanelle, Christelle, Christian, Brandon and Preston ; one sister-in-law, Georgina ; her great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, May was predeceased by her husband who is also the father of her childrens, Hector Maillet ; one grand-son, Shawn ; six brothers, Lionel, Émile, Elias, Alyre, Phillippe and Alban ; as well as four sisters, Zella, Madelaine, Élise and Jeanne.
Because of the actual restrictions related to the pandemic, there will be no visitation. A private Celebration of her life will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel of Shediac Bridge.
