Michael Arthur Dormer
1945 ~ 2020
Upper Coverdale, NB—, It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Arthur Dormer of Upper Coverdale, NB, on April 14th, 2020, at the age of 74.
Born in Amherst, NS, he was the son of the late Arthur and the late Mildred (Mickey) Dormer (born Mathews).
Michael graduated from Harisson Trimble High School in 1964, where he was active in sports, especially Football as a halfback. He was also Vice-President of the student council.
He could light up the room with his smile and personality and loved everyone.
Michael retired from the town of Riverview after many years of services.
Being the President of the Riverview minor hockey Association, he also coached many Riverview minor Hockey teams, and was a Riverview kinsmen.
He was also implicated in programs coordination, and leisure services for the town of Riverview. He also started Riverview minor Basketball.
Michael had a great love for harness racing with his favorites Koboom and Buckaroo.
Michael will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 53 years of marriage, Carol Dormer (born MacNeil); one daughter, Michelle Dormer of Halifax, NS; one son, Dan Dormer of Riverview,
NB; four grandchildren, Brittany, Kayla, Matt and Mitch; several Brothers and sisters-in-law; and also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In respect of Michael’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service.
