Michel Gallant
1951 ~ 2018

Cocagne, NB – Michel Gallant, 66, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, on Saturday, January 13th, 2018 after a brief illness.

Born in Abram Village, PEI, he was the son of the late Louis and the late Florina Gallant (nee Arsenault). Michel worked for The Co-operators Insurance for over thirty-five years.

Michel is survived by his loving spouse, Gloria Arsenault of Cocagne; by his two sons, Marc Gallant and André Gallant (Sara) all of Ottawa, ON; by his two step-sons, Marc Arsenault (Jean-Sébastien Gervais) of Montreal, QC and Serge Arsenault (Marie-Christine Marquis) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, NB; by his four sisters, Jeannette Arsenault (Raymond) of Mt. Tryon, PEI, Élise Milligan (late Wendell) of Abram Village, PEI, Collette Gallant of Abram Village, PEI and Nicole Walczak (Maverick) of Edmonton, AB; by his four brothers, Claude (Shirley) of Calgary, AB, Paul (Nicole) of Moncton, NB, Roger (Géraldine) of Dieppe, NB and Roland (Michelle) of Leamington, ON; by his brother-in-law, Maurice Laforest of Grand Falls, NB; by his four granddaughters, Vivianne, Laurence, Fiona and Zoe; also by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Michel was predeceased by his first wife, Gaétane Gallant (nee Godin) and by his sister, Simone Laforest.

Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge, on Wednesday, January 17th, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitation at the funeral home Thursday morning. Funeral service will be held at St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church, Cocagne, NB on Thursday, January 18th, 2017 at 11 am.

Donations to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Oncology or to the Palliative Care Unit) or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
