Mina Cormier, 94, of Cocagne, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday March 31, 2018 in the comfort of her home. She was married to the late Irènée Cormier (2001). Born in Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Alyre and the late Elise (Cormier) Léger.
She will be dearly missed by her thirteen children; Rodrigue (Phyllis), Elmo, Aubrey (Darlene), Anne-Marie Allain (late Herman), Jeannine Cormier, Bertha Allain (Omer), Cathy Robichaud (late Edmond), Jacqueline Richard (Arsène), Maria Robichaud (late Edgar) and Louise Cormier (Charles) all of Cocagne, Lorraine Robichaud, Cécile LeBlanc (Donald) of Bouctouche and Lucille Richard (Alyre) of Scoudouc, her twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her three sisters; Auréa Belliveau (late Victor) of Saint-Paul, Anna Despres (Ulric) of California and Anne LeBlanc (Ovila) of Saint-Antoine, her two brothers; Lionel (late Viola) and Armand (Elodiane) of Cocagne as well as several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one daughter Yvette (1971), two sisters; Bertha and Mélanie, and five brothers; Ulric, Elisé, Pierre, Cyrille and Elsé.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne on Tuesday April 3, 2018 from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Cocagne Church on Wednesday April 4, 2018 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Mina’s memory, donations may be made to the Cocagne Parish Fund.
