Mélina Maillet, 98, of Villa Providence, Shédiac and formally of Richiboucto-Village, has passed away at the Residence on Friday April 4th, 2008 after a brief illness. Married to the late Albert Maillet (1992), she was born in Richiboucto-Village on November 8th, 1909 to the late Jean and the late Henriette (Allain) Babineau.
Mélina is survived by four daughters; Albertine Melanson of Shediac, Claudette Cormier of Bouctouche, Roberte Maillet of Suncity, Arizona, Henrietta McDonald (Gary) of Waltham, MA, three sons; Léonard (Anise) of Waltham, MA, Ronald (Stella) of Seabring, FL, Jean-Paul (Rose-Marie) of Maynard, MA, twenty four grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren, one great great grand daughter, and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by two sons, Achille (1963), Eudore (1989), and two sisters, Béatrice and Ozithe.
Visitation will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Monday April 7th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church, Richiboucto-Village on Tuesday April 8th, 2008 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
