It is with profound sadness, that we announce the passing of Mrs. Auréa LeBlanc on Saturday, January 8th, 2022, at the age of 83 years old.

Born at Dupuis Corner in 1938, she was the daughter of the late Lionel Lirette and the late Emilia Lirette (née LeBlanc).

Auréa will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 58 years, Yvon LeBlanc; her son, Reginald « Reggie » (Lyne); her granddaughter, Angela « Angie » (Chris); her grand-son, Guy (Stéphanie) her great-grandchildren, Alexe, Mia and Lucas. She also leaves to grieve her sisters, Hélène and Loretta; one brother, Louis (Claudette); as well as several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Marie-Anne and Exelda as well as her brothers, Joseph and Emery.

After Auréa and Yvon met, they moved to Toronto where they married and then welcomed their son. In 1974 they returned to Acadie and remained in Lakeburn until recently. Her job was mainly caring for children, including Natalie Richard, whom she cherished and later her grandchildren. She remained active by walking, notably with the Champlain Place Walking Club with her friend, Dot Steeves and participated to the inauguration walk of the Confederation Bridge in 1997. She was a dedicated member of the Dieppe TOPS group for over 30 years with her great friends, Georgina Bainbridge, Bertha Harper and Theresa Hill. She especially enjoyed playing cards, cooking, eating and traveling when she could. She was known for her joy of life, her great sense of humor, her faith and her love for her family.

  2. It is with sadness to hear of Aurea’s passing. To me she was a very special lady who always welcomed me every time I visited their household. Remember going to their place one time and she cooked us a meal that would feed an army and was told your a strapping boy who should have no problem eating this. She had a big heart and could tell that Yvon and her complimented each other. We always had good conversations and you could tell she just loved talking about her son Reggie and grand children. She was one special lady, who I’m glad I had the opportunity to have known her. She will be missed. God Bless and RIP.
