Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Jacques and the late Amanda Melanson (nee Cormier).
Muriel loved life and her sense of humor will live on in her children and grandchildren.
Muriel will be sadly missed by her daughter, Denise Atkinson (Terry) of Moncton; by her two sons, Donald of Richmond, BC and David (Suzanne) of Moncton; by her three brothers, Laurie (Marianne) of Beausejour, MB, Roger (Geraldine) of Coldwater, ON and Paul (Meredith) of Moncton; by her six grandchildren, Jason, Michelle, Melissa, Samantha, Zacharie and Max; by her two great granddaughters, Starr and Raimee; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her granddaughter, Kelly; her sister, Annette Gauvin; by her brother, Raymond.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (corner West Lane), Moncton, on Saturday, August 19th, 2017 from 9:30am till the time of service. Funeral service will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 19th, 2017 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humanity Project or the CHU Dumont Foundation (Pediatric Unit) would be appreciated by the family.
