In Loving Memory Of
Noël “Christmas” Cormier
1937 - 2022

Dieppe – Noël (Christmas) Cormier, 84, of Dieppe, passed away on March 4^th, 2022 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital.

Born in Bouctouche NB, he was the son of the late Aurèle and Alvina (Melanson) Cormier.

He was retired from the Co-Op Feed Mill where he worked for 35 years.

He will be forever remembered by his wife of 57 years Simonne (Roy); his son Serge (Tara); his two grandsons Nicholas and Noah. Survived by four siblings Thérèse (late Hughes), Viola (late Emery), Léona (late Eugène) and Clarence; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Noël was predeceased by his son Rhéal (Coco).

He was passionate about the Harness Racing Industry and the individuals that made up the sport. Throughout those years, he was an owner, trainer, driver and caretaker. His life was dedicated to his family and the horses he had under his care and guidance. His first horse purchase was Abner McGraw, but his heart was for only PH Russ. Other horses he was associated with were Causeway and Spanish Way. His last horse was Shadydale Martin that he co-owned with his son Serge.

A special thank-you to Dr. Kirkpatrick and the staff of the 4-C unit at the Dumont hospital for the compassionate care given to Noël.

Due to the current regulations, mask will be required inside the funeral home.

As per his wishes, there will be no visitation prior to the service, funeral Service will be held from Passage – Chartersville Chapel, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (506) 857-1901, on Tuesday, March 8^th, 2022 at 11 am.
