Noëlla Johnson, 86, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. She was married to the late Elmo Johnson (2015). Born in Cap Lumière, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Lina (Daigle) LeBlanc.
Noëlla was a very gentle soul who appreciated all that nature had to offer. She liked cooking for her loved-ones, walking, listening to music and spending precious time with her family.
She will be sadly missed by her three children: Brenda LeBlanc (Roger) of Bouctouche, Mark (Kim) of Gardner, MA, Yvon (Brenda) of Orléans, ON, her five grandchildren: Stéphanie, Sharon, Ann, Pierre and Daniel as well as four great grandchildren: Caroline, Maxwell, Mason and Marcus. She also leaves her sister, Irène Sawyer (Garnet), of Rexton and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four sisters: Marguerite, Germaine, Edmée, Marie-Thérèse and six brothers: Ti-Alyre, René, Alyre, Adelin, Normand and Edgar.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29, rue de l’Église, Bouctouche on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 3:45 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Noëlla’s memory, donations may be made to the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital Funds.
Noëlla’s family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative care at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital for their excellent care and attention given to Noëlla.
