Norman Melanson, 76, of Grand-Barachois and formerly of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Thursday, March 19th, 2015, at his residence.
Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Willie and the late Germaine (née: LeBlanc) Melanson.
Prior to retirement, Norman worked all his life for Mother’s Own Bakery. He also loved to play golf.
He is survived by his wife, Rosella “Rose” (née: Cormier); two sons: Terry (Lynn Noiles) of Memramcook and Roland of Grand-Barachois; two brothers: Joseph “Babe” and Roger “Ti-Cot” (Simone), both of Dieppe; two sisters-in-law: Jeannine Melanson of Dieppe and Dianne Melanson of Moncton; one granddaughter, Terlyn, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers: Donnie and Bobby.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Tuesday from 2 pm until time of service.
A Celebration of the Word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, on Tuesday, March 24th, 2015 at 4 pm.
Interment in Chartersville Funeral Home Columbarium.
Donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Né à Moncton, N.-B., il était fils de feu Willie et de feu Germaine (née LeBlanc) Melanson.
Avant sa retraite, M. Melanson avait travaillé toute sa carrière pour la boulangerie Mother’s Own. Il aimait de jouer au golf.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Rosella «Rose» (née Cormier); deux fils: Terry (Lynn Noiles) de Memramcook et Roland de Grand-Barachois; deux frères: Joseph «Babe» et Roger «Ti-Cot» (Simone), tous deux de Dieppe; deux belle-soeurs: Jeannine Melanson de Dieppe et Dianne Melanson de Moncton; une petite-fille, Terlyn, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Outre ses parents, deux frères: Donnie et Bobby, l’ont précédé dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, (N.-B.) (857-1901) le mardi de 14h jusqu’à l’heure des funérailles.
Une célébration de la parole aura lieu en la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Chartersville le mardi 24 mars 2015 à 16h.
L’inhumation se fera au Colombaire de la maison funéraire Chartersville.
