St-Antoine, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Normand Bastarache, 84, on Friday, May 16th, 2025, at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent, NB.
Born in St-Damien, NB, he was the son of the late Eloi and the late Josephine (Leger) Bastarache.
He is survived by his daughters: Rita Bastarache (Norm Richard) of St-Antoine and Donna Allain (Bertin) of Bouctouche; by his grandchildren: Jamie, Jordan, Ashley and Brad; by his great grandchildren: Nathan and Braelyn; by his sisters: Melina Bastarache (Don) of St-Joseph-de-Kent and Maria Bastarache (late Len) of Ontario; by his brothers: Ulysse (late Anna) of Cocagne, Yvon (Loraine) of Massachusetts, Guy of Moncton and Paul (Ray) of Massachusetts, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine (Cormier) Bastarache, on April 28th, 2025; by his sisters: Bella, Thérèse and Claudette and by his brothers: Gerald “Joe” and Noël.
Visitation will be held at the St-Antoine-l’Ermite RC Church Slumber Room, St-Antoine, NB, on Friday, May 23rd, 2025, from 2 pm to 3:45 pm, followed by the funeral mass at 4 pm.
Interment in St-Antoine Parish Cemetery, St-Antoine, NB.
