Dieppe, NB – Normand Bourgeois, 73, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, January 7, 2018, after a brief illness.
Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Dismas and Marie-Anne (Robichaud) Bourgeois.
Normand will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Ursula (Bauta) Bourgeois; his son, Normand Jr. of Saskatchewan; his three daughters, Elizabeth “Liz” Mazaris (Quinn) of Barrie, ON, Christine Bourgeois of Peterborough, ON and Laura Duchesne (Darren) of Callander, ON; his five sisters, Doreen Yates (Ed) of Dieppe, Shirley Bourgeois, Carol Plourde (late Dave), Nancy Bell (Todd) all of BC and Sharon Bourgeois of Pickering, ON; his brother, Robert Bourgeois of Pickering, ON; his step-brother, Danny Donovan (Madj) of Pickering, ON; his six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; also by several uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson, Justin; his step-brother, Douglas and his step-mother, Alma (Robichaud) Bourgeois.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (corner West Lane), Moncton, on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 1 pm until time of funeral service at Passage Chapel at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
